The only child of Lyssa Xyliana Maxime-Morgan-Maxime-Mista-Levina-Nedra-Raz-Maxime and Jordan Uhuru-Manika-Kelirim-Urk-Uhuru-Farb-Nywell-Xip.
Her mother and father both come from Houses who can track their F-Class lineage back to the Dominion’s inception.
Eliana’s parents received approval for assisted reproduction but were informed that this would be a one time deal. Since the Dominion prefers proven genetic histories, it is generally frowned upon for such an esteemed family to be unable to produce offspring by natural means. Young Eliana proved to be a difficult child. Her proud F-class parents wanted a life of privilege and service to the Dominion for their only Heir but discovered that a flawless lineage does not an ideal child make. Eliana was stubborn, artistic, secretive and prone to running off at the slightest provocation. She was sullen and willful at home whilst being charismatic and talented at school. They were utterly baffled.
From a young age she was drawn to shiny objects and would often bring them home and hide them around the house. She insisted that people gave them to her and though she was a popular child, this was not always true. She adored her mother’s jewelery and was often seen playing with it or wearing it at inappropriate times. During her childhood several valuable pieces went missing and when questioned, Eliana insisted she didn’t know where they were. They remain missing to this day.
As she grew, it became apparent that Eliana had an unhealthy attraction to what her parents called ‘undesirables’. She had a habit of befriending unusual children; those with mixed lineage or Unclassified backgrounds were a particular favourite. Her parents blatant disapproval only seemed to pour fuel on this fire. When she brought home a young male Felline named Hisshesh they put their collective feet down. She was to only associate with appropriate F-class friends from now on. That was the last friend her parents met. She took to spending far more time away from home than she had before.
As their daughter matured, she began to attract quite a bit of attention from prominent F-Houses desirous of a matrimonial connection. Eliana was especially beautiful and combined with her lineage, exceptionally attractive to suitors. She chose to date a series of ‘undesirable’ classmates, both male and female. This enraged her parents who attempted to enforce a curfew to keep her under their supervision. Naturally, she managed to evade it, happily continuing with her wayward behaviour.
During her 6th year, Eliana underwent a change. As her body matured, so did her attitude. She began listening to her parents, dutifully attending society events and charming all the right people. She dated several suitable sons of prominent Houses. She was studying Higher Education at this stage and expressed interest in her parents’ jobs. Previously she had referred to their bureaucratic positions as glorified paper-pushers but now, she seemed eager to fulfil their long-held desires that she follow in their footsteps.
On reaching her maturity, Eliana Maxime-Morgan-Maxime-Mista-Levina-Nedra-Raz-Maxime-Uhuru-Manika-Kelirim-Urk-Uhuru-Farb-Nywell-Xip disappeared.
It came out that the dutiful daughter had been leading a double life. She had spent extensive time in the lower echelons of society and was apparently seen with a young G-class boy called simply Ember. Despite the Dominion authorities searching far and wide, Eliana has never been found. If still alive, she would be in her 9th year.
When Ember helped Elli escape her life, she was thrilled. It was exciting to be free from that gilded cage. Except the money she’d managed to take with her didn’t last long. She honed her skills at thieving for a time and got quite good at it. Then Ember left and she was alone. With nothing but what she could scrounge. All whilst her name was on everybody’s lips. A very pretty man named Jacob spotted her and took her in. Unfortunately Jacob was far more interested in putting her body to good use with his girls than offering any way to escape.
Elli worked as a prostitute for a time, continuing to hone her skills in thievery. She was particularly attracted to gems and got rather good at identifying the different stones and spotting fakes. Her luck ran out when Jacob realised who she was. Suddenly the girl with the pretty face also had a valuable name. She convinced him not to turn her in for any kind of reward. Instead, he decided to put her name to good use and advertised her to a certain clientele. It’s astounding just how many people are interested in paying high sums to sleep with the pretty Heir to such a prominent House.
Elli discovered that she was rather good at this kind of work. Not only was she comfortable with her body but she liked people and genuinely enjoyed talking with them and keeping their company. She befriended an escort named Esha who spotted her skills. Esha helped buy her out from under Jacob’s thumb and put her into contact with someone who could get her an Alternate Identity. An arrangement was made that with this new identity, Elli would make regular payments to ensure her real identity stayed hidden and for certain information on the whereabouts of her parents or anyone who might recognise her. In exchange, her original identity documents were handed over (for ‘safe keeping’), a watertight new identity was created and a float was given to set herself up. If she failed to make her regular payments, certain services would be expected in exchange; tasks might be set, a target might be given, etc. The details were unclear. She was given a code book and told that she may occasionally receive messages giving her jobs or tasks to complete. Sometimes these will be in lieu of payment. Sometimes not. She is not sure exactly who is behind the set up that gave her this freedom but she’s grateful and far too smart to ask questions.
Her new name was Lia Damira Silver-Rose.
Lia stayed with Esha for a time, setting up her new life and establishing new contacts. She honed her skills with gemstones and geology and developed quite a knack for finance and trade. Esha convinced her to set up an escort business on the side and mentored her through the process. They remain friends to this day.
In her new life, Lia made a number of contacts in different places and started a healthy smuggling business, specialising in gems and jewelery. Her smuggling business is heavily embedded within her trading business and both managed a decent profit. Those who hear about her know her as Emerald.
She established herself as an escort named Winta. Her prices are high and her clients can pay. She has an extensive black book and has been known to trade in secrets. This is something that she occasionally receives coded messages about. Her advertising lists her as Emerald Winta. Most of her clients are unaware of just how many layers there are beneath the façade.
In her guise as Winta, Lia allowed herself to be coerced into having a baby. Little Lali’s father is aware that Winta is Lia Silver-Rose but he has no idea that his child won the genetic lottery of being Eliana’s offspring. Eliana’s parents are also unaware that they have a legitimate grandchild.
Emerald Winta has an unusual contract with a very special client. This woman met her as a gem smuggler and fairly soon after, she discovered her as an escort and engaged her services. This woman runs a crime syndicate and is an extremely powerful individual. Lia is contracted to meet with her on a regular basis and if she misses a meeting or one gets interrupted, the length of the next engagement gets longer. Thus far, she has refused to sleep with this client. It remains a battle of wills.
Unfortunately, Lia has developed a drug habit whilst living her highly chaotic life. This is something she has learned to work around, although it is highly expensive and occasionally inconvenient.
Recently, Lia has acquired permanent passage on a freighter. She has hired cargo space to fill with legitimate trade (and possibly some less than legitimate). She will continue to adhere to commitments for both of her occupations whilst traveling the known universe.
In her small amount of spare time, Lia enjoys creating gemstone art using her lapidary skills and making perfume of her own design. She likes dancing when she gets the chance.
She is extremely fond of her companion plant, Rosaline.
