E-373-Oliver: Hopper Grass (Docked in Spanial Cargo Hold)

Nice when you pass on a 16 isn’t it?
Broadly, the interface is split into four areas:
  • Flight Controls
  • Sensors and Comms
  • Engineering and Maintenance
  • Help and Reference (including interactive checklists for the other areas of operation)
His preliminary check doesn’t reveal any issues with the first three, the logs indicate the software has installed as expected and the internal diagnostics don’t reveal any issues; all seems in factory state – except that:
  • Some of the comms and sensor logging has been disabled.
  • This is a base configuration only – it’s possible to add several optional enhancement modules for better engine monitoring, improved sensor analysis, navigation enhancement, even an entertainment system, but none are installed.
The fourth area, the help and reference files, looks to have been cobbled together by the ship’s crew.  It’s made up of scans of a hardcopy manual, the original of which Oliver can see is stored in a pocket in front of the co-pilot.  From what Oliver can piece together, Lia scanned all the originals, then it looks like Ipan has gone through and created a bunch of interactive enhancements where needed and added metadata and links, and then Gregar has hooked those into the relevant sections of the other three areas.  Then there a bunch of comments have been added later – mostly from Lia, and a few from Prrri, about how some of the original set of hooks are wrong.

    It is!

Does Oliver know if any of these things could lead to issues in flight?
