In navigating the interface it becomes obvious to Oliver that he has the minimum possible amount of access that would allow him to perform the duties he and Karmen discussed.

In showing him through the systems and talking work, he relaxes and becomes quite professional, as opposed to the tone of slight sullen aggression he was sporting initially. 

At the end, Oliver has a sense of the specifics of operating the system and is well on the way to removing the familiarity penalties for operating Spanial’s sensors and comms equipment.
