The Captain seems a little surprised and appreciative of Oliver’s apology.
She says, “Uh, I guess it would be about the same as from Pristine…let me check.” She leans across and activates a terminal on the wall near the table, logs into the ship and brings up an image on the large view screen in the common room. Oliver watches as she navigates a path to the navigation subsystem and brings up a navigation image, that she tweaks by adding and removing some systems. Selected Star Systems Near Separatist Space
“So, here’s us now at Zarg’s World… Pristine is here… Separatist systems…”
A line of worlds pop up outside the Dominion Sphere. “…Nonoop…,” she fiddles with the controls and a purple star pops up at the edge of the Dominion Sphere,”… is here. For the first time, Alan speaks, “You have access to restricted nav data?” The Captain looks at him, “all nav systems have high-level data in case of emergency, it just doesn’t show in the default configuration, you have to enable the option in the nav system settings.” Alan sits back in his chair, grunts, “of course.” She continues, “let’s see Jump 6 map from Nonoop…”
“Fourteen-point-five lights from Pristine to Nonoop, 16.3 to Gateway, but only 9.2 to Midway. This ship,” she pats the table, “could do that Midway run in about three to four Cycles. Though I hear most Separatist ships are slower than ours.”
Oliver listens intently and absorbs all the information to memory.
“And what about finding someone willing to fly you?”
