B-583: Merchant Freighter Spanial (Docked at Zarg’s World Highport), Common Room

As Oliver sits down he puts his backpack at his side and has it leaning against him. “Just Oliver, thank you Lia.”

He makes his pitch, looking between them, “I need to make it to Seperatist space. I would like you to assist me. I’m not asking you to drop everything, or anything. I have some preparations to do and I have time. I would be more comfortable if your slates were clean before we got started.”

He pauses to guage reaction – does Lia react?
.
“I think it would be tedious to sort out a pickup time, so my proposal is until you are ready to help me with my trip, you can take me on as a crew member. I can do sensor work, am capable of sitting control watches and can maintain almost anything that runs on electricity. I provide work for you in exchange for passage, I don’t pay a passenger fee and you don’t pay me an employment rate. I can contribute to food and other costs as is fair.”

He settles back in his seat. “Unless that’s not agreeable?”

Karmen responds, “Huh.  Thought you were in a hurry.

“I was going to suggest if you wanted us to take you to Separatist space, your ship could run some errands for us that we’re currently contracted to do, and seeing as how I’m keen there’s no hard feelings between us and the Vizierate, I was going to offer that as an even swap.  You do our jobs, we do yours and we’re all good.

“But if you aren’t in a hurry…”

She trails off.

Does Lia wish to chime in?

As Karmen is finishing, Ipan comes in, takes a seat without speaking.

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

There is a tension about Lia that becomes increasingly visible though her face is unreadable.

She transfers her gaze to Karmen when she starts speaking and the tension does not abate.

She will stare at Karmen for a second.

“How do you think our passenger will feel…”

    She also trails off slightly.
