B-538: Merchant Freighter Spanial (Docked at Zarg’s World Highport), Common Room

Lia’s Empathy suggests the following.

The Legionnaire

The man is totally transparent, and totally disinterested.  He doesn’t think much of Karmen and Lia, but doesn’t seem to care enough about the situation he’s in to be more than cynical and expect to be lied to.  Though has taken a casual interest in Lia’s beauty, like most men, it’s typical of the reaction she usually receives.  His opinion of the Vizant seems somewhat neutral.

The Vizant

Oliver doesn’t have any capacity to block Lia’s Empathy advantage, so the following information comes from the result of her roll only and not a quick contest.  Can the player please correct the following if it is wrong:

Lia has a feeling the Vizant is being honest in his claim, he doesn’t want to pursue Karmen and the crew for any wrongdoing, but he does want the man in the photo – with something of what might best be described as calculated passion, or a degree of professional pride.  Nor is he a monster and the small courtesies he’s been demonstrating are at least partially genuine.

Vizant’s Response

In response to Karmen’s statement the Vizant says, “You’ll understand that I find that hard to believe captain. As I have mentioned before, the only thing I care about is this man, your operations do not concern me.”

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

Lia is in the tricky position of not having been present during the situation they’re discussing. She doesn’t want to undermine Karmen but she also doesn’t want her overt caution to miss any opportunities.

“The Captain and I want to be as helpful as we can, Vizant but I’m sure you understand our caution. Is there any reason to believe this man’s connection to the Spanial’s cargo?”
