“So…now what?  Does that help?”

    Lia regards her quietly for a moment and seems to come to some sort of decision.

    “It helps me, yes. Had you or Raina smuggled a person against their will, I would have left you without a second thought.”

    She sits up straight and regards Karmen frankly.

    “Knowledge is power. We know that whoever you transported is hiding from something and that someone was clearly watching them. Raina has information since she warned you out of her territory and she is obviously aware that the situation has escalated. I have a way to contact her agent should we need to and once these experts turn up they may be able to give us more to go on. I suppose the question is, what action can we take now? Or do we wait and see exactly what trouble this brings before we figure out how to deal with it…”
