Karmen seems to like/respect Lia and doesn’t want her to go back to being a passenger but either feels she should ask or wants a genuine commitment from Lia to the ship and crew.

    “It wasn’t what I was looking for, no but that doesn’t mean it’s not what I need. This world can be a rather lonely place and this ship feels more like a home than any place I’ve been for… well, quite a long time.”

    Lia holds out her hand.

    “I’d be honoured to officially join your crew, Captain. If you’re sure you want me…”
