Well, Kort is wearing combat armour (his is white and grey), so I don’t know if that is a useful indicator or not.

As Lia watches the Legionnaire exit the vehicle she can see that he is moving with some difficulty.  Almost all the Legionnaires she has ever seen are at least somewhat fit, but this man moves stiffly and is carrying more weight than is usual for a Legionnaire.

Lia can see that the man is an Over Sub Officer, the most senior junior rank.  He’s a big, broad-shouldered man.
