A-295: Mundo Zargo Downport

Zoner!

OK… I hope she enjoyed the experience despite being a little rushed!

Customs

There are no questions about the content of her bag, though the Junior receives a hairy eyeball from the Senior at one point.

Downport

Starside Transit Bus

The bus makes its way across the bare expanse of the starside Downport tarmac.

Outside it is dark, the middle of the night local time.  Clouds are covering the sky, no doubt the cause of some of the bumps coming down from orbit.  Half way across the open ground, just as the Junior Customs Officer is looking down Lia’s top, fat drops of rain begin splatting against the bus windows.

By the Dominion clock it’s late in Green shift.  By Lia’s body clock, late afternoon.

After what is quite a long ride (giving the Officer lots of time to chat with Lia) the bus drives inside a garage and extends its boarding tube to an airlock for the Downport concourse.

Everything in order, the team is free to enter the concourse.

“Welcome to Mundo Zargo,” says the Junior Customs officer warmly to Lia.

Concourse

Mundo Zargo is a relatively habitable A-class colony and the concourse is reasonably busy.

The place is well appointed and quite large – think contemporary airport + shopping centre + resort hotel.  Plenty of shinies to look at here.

Karmen turns to Kort, “Well?”

He says, “There’s a bar near the cargo docks, The General Landmark, we meet there.

“This way.”

Kort heads off down the concourse, moving with confidence and a slight touch of aggression.

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

Does Lia get wet in this rain at all or is everything under cover?

She will give the junior officer a smile as they head off, which will turn into an eye roll if she can catch the glance of Karmen or Kwint.

Lia will appreciate the shinies as they follow Kort but she is mentally putting on her armour for the coming meeting.
