A-256: Spanial, Control
Lia is on watch in Spanial Control on Lia Day 61 during Green Shift when Karmen comes in and spends some time messing about with the sensor array.
Presently, Karmen brings an image up on one of the big screens; a ship tail-on against a background of stars, jets firing toward Spanial
“Kwint in Hio, decelerating toward us,” she says, a smile on her face,”Should meet up at the end of this Shift.”
Indeed, Control fills up at the end of Lia’s watch.
Jennie brings Spanial to a stop in space. On the monitors, Kwint rotates the shuttle and brings it in to dock in Spanial’s Hangar; a tiny vibration she Lia can feel through the ship as they make contact.
Karmen says to Jennie, “we can jump out from here?”
Jennie says, “I’ve done a provisional plot, I just need to refine it with current observations.”
“Do it, let’s get on our way.”
She turns to Lia, “we’ll be busy for a bit, so why don’t you go and welcome Kwint aboard?”
“Sure.”
Lia will head off happily to the Hangar. She’s been spending time with the same people for a while, so she’s looking forward to seeing Kwint.
