A-001: Merchant Freighter Spanial, In Jump to Zarg’s World
Module Introduction
Sent to deliver a mysterious case to a restricted system, the crew of the merchant freighter Spanial discovered their delivery point destroyed. Investigating, they found the enigmatic, alien Yarg seemed to be responsible. Now, they have to work out what to do next…
Merchant Freighter Spanial
Picking up from where we left off last time, Lia is at the Helm station of Spanial with Jennie at Conn, Ipan at Scan and Kort in the jump seat at the back of the room.
Karmen is in her cabin sleeping off a head injury coupled with a bad dose of motion sickness.
Gregar and Prrri are (presumably) in engineering.
Kwint is awaiting Spanial’s arrival in the Zarg’s World system in Hio.
Piled in the Common Area is a collection of loot (or salvage) that Lia obtained from the Cyprinidae, the wrecked ship they found in orbit at Foofor 2.
The Hopper is in the Hangar, perhaps still partially loaded. Prrri was to refuel it, but he may not have had time to do so before Ipan detected the alien ships launching from the planet. Also in the Hangar are a brace of concealed illegal missiles.
At this point, Lia has not slept for nearly a Cycle and a half, and only had two Jobs worth of sleep before that (31 hours awake and 5 hours sleep, for GURPS fatigue rules purposes). Lia has Less Sleep 2. Lia has now lost 5 FP due to lack of sleep, and is in danger of dozing off should she stop being active.
The ship entered hyperspace at GB05 on Lia day 40. Lia will lose another Fatigue Point at BR09. AtBB03 she will lose another and be in the ‘less than 1/3 FP’ condition.
Jennie says she expects the jump to take about 6 Cycles.
What would Lia like to do?
Lia will give Kort a long look and turn back to Jennie.
“I’m guessing everyone feels as fragged as I do. How do you want to handle the watch?”
