Choices
The minimal crew required to go with the ship are Alan, Erin and Downer. Oliver should really go too to run Comms/Scan or Alan would be very busy in Control flying the ship solo, which is really too big a job for one person to do safely. Therefore Dicard’s choice of either From or Uddin to stay with him is logical, and he doesn’t seem to mind which it is.
Oliver has a sense that Alan simply didn’t think the situation through before speaking and neither has he really contemplated having either Chris or Fromm go or stay.
Chris seems happy to go with the ship but is trying to conceal his reactions.
Oliver suspects Fromm would prefer to go with the ship, but seems willing to accept the decision.
Oliver assumed Fromm would rather come but stands by his decision that this is the most logical team split.
