9-417: Pristine, Downport Administration
The Tech
The tech says, “wait…”
She changes the camera image to show a corridor with a door at the end.
After a short wait the door opens and a man steps through, he’s wearing Mining Bureau cold weather gear with the hood up and closed over most of his face and what looks like a pair of light-weight night-vision goggles. Oliver recognises the stocky form though.
As he comes through the door he seems to be stuffing a small box and a PDA into a pocket. He is wearing a large backpack. He walks down the corridor, appears to note the camera and quickly walks out of frame.
The tech says, “the protocol is entrances and exits; that’s both sides of a door.”
Departure Manifest
After this length of time Oliver can probably get a list of actual destinations; all those pesky customs checks are there for exactly this sort of reason.
Halcyon says he’ll hunt up a list, but he’ll avoid the Security Chief and try someone who’s not likely to tell him that providing such a list is not his responsibility. He leaves the room.
“Thank you Alan.”
He returns to the cameras. “Perfect, can we make some guesses now we know which way he’s going?”
Oliver will continue this line of questioning until they can form a destination or lose him.
