Alan throttles the big vehicle down the snowy, slushy mine road slowly gaining ground as he uses the vehicle’s mass to best advantage despite it’s slower acceleration.
The roll of 11 is a success and Alan brings the Crawler up to Long range from Cagnotti.
Patrol Vehicle
He says, “I’ll watch the quarry, you watch for hazards!”
Unfortunately Oliver’s roll is insufficient to give him a bonus – but it turns out he won’t need one.
Pursue Action

The roll of 4 is a Critical Success.
As he rips the Patrol Vehicle through the intersection and into the opposite downward curve, the PSO turns the wheel hard over and throttles the engine up to maximum – Oliver can feel the high-pitched whine of the electric motor through the chassis. The Patrol Vehicle goes into a sideways power drift kicking up an arc of snow and slush to the side of the road and taking the downward curve at a speed Oliver may not have thought was possible. They whip past the Legion PSO building and the road begins to straighten out, the PSO at the controls brings the vehicle out into a more typical angle with the road, the front bumper so close to the skidoo that the vehicle is being showered in the kicked up flurry from the skidoo’s tread.
The distance between Cagnotti and the Patrol Vehicle is now Close.
Skidoo
Stop Action
Oliver doesn’t need the sniper scope to see Cagnotti or the registration now. Cagnotti looks over his shoulder at the flashing, wailing Patrol Vehicle only a couple of metres behind him and brings the skidoo to a stop at the side of the road.
The PSO brings the vehicle to a stop behind Cagnotti and deactivates the siren but leaves the lights flashing.
I’ll give Oliver a chance to react/state intentions/ask questions/speak to the PSO before moving on to the next description.
