The GURPS convention is 10 vs 15 – modifiers are applied to the skill and then the roll is made, so you can’t mod your way to a critical success/failure.

It takes a while but it’s actually Oliver who spots it.  

It’s difficult as the older video gets compressed to save space and loses some of its fidelity, but from the earlier video set from the Jobethunt move-in time (c~ early 205) Oliver sees a figure ride up on a white skidoo to the rear gate of the mine.  There’s no booth at the rear gate but the figure can be seen pressing an intercom, waiting a moment and then being allowed in.

Though he’s wearing arctic gear suitable for riding a skidoo, Oliver is certain that’s Argyle.
