From his early career investigations, Oliver would know that the vast majority of people can’t even seriously consider being a Vizier.  If Abelford is assuming that Oliver is telling the truth about seriously considering becoming a Vizier, that tells him a lot about Oliver.

“Well, I won’t delve too deeply into your personal history.  However, I’m prepared to offer you a Special Commission as a Vizant 4 Cyber Operations expert, just to make sure your project continues with clear leadership.  It’s Tier-6 and shrouded in secrecy so I assume its success is important, and I feel I should be facilitating it.

“If you accept, your Special Commission will continue until such time as either myself, Vizier Dicard or someone more senior choose to revoke it.  How does that sound?”
