9-197: Pristine, Clement Basin, Vizier Ableford’s Office

Warden Simmonds continues, “Vizier Richard Dicard is currently in surgery at the Clement Basin Medical Centre, Warden Kinnaman has been sent to guard him and the rest of his team have been instructed to report on his progress as soon as details are known.  I’m advised that the answer to your other question is , ‘no.'”

Vizier Abelford nods, “thank you Warden Leader.”

With that gentle dismissal, she leaves the room.

The Vizier comes out from behind a large rustic-looking desk made of polished rough timber and stone (anywhere else, this would be a horrendously expensive item of furniture, but here on Pristine it was probably quite economical, looking to have been crafted from of some of the local, oddly angular trees Oliver passed on the way out of the basin.)

He gestures to a set of over-stuffed chairs in the corner of the room, next to a low table, “Have a seat Mer Starr.”

He settles himself into the voluminous lounge chair, “I asked you, specifically, to come in because you aren’t an active or former member of the Legion and the Warden Leader said that you seem to be trusted by Vizier Richard as his 2iC.

“I didn’t have a chance to discuss your project here on Pristine with Vizier Richard, but whatever it is seems to have stirred the Legion up no end.  Perhaps you could fill me in on the details of why you are here?”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

    Oliver will sit.
“It should be mentioned that your claim isn’t official, it’s just with the nature of our task and with my skill set I have the most knowledge about what’s going on…”

He looks around the room for a moment. “Why the suspicion about the legion? Because they blew up and cleared out a hunting lodge?”

Oliver thinks while holding gaze with the Vizier. “Well we’ve already disclosed enough to other parties. We’re hunting a terrorist who faked his death, assumed a new identity and spent some time living here on pristine. His research is a security risk to the Dominion and we’re trying to secure that research.”
