Having gained his agreement, she leads him out to the Medical Centre emergency driveway where there’s a light off road vehicle in Vizierate purple waiting, white and amethyst strobes flashing silently from a roof bar though the headlights are off.
She bids Oliver take the passenger seat and climbs behind the controls.
When he’s in and secured, she takes off quickly, maneuvering around the crawler that is still taking up a large fraction of the driveway.
The star is just beginning its climb over the horizon as she steers the vehicle along streets covered in long, blue shadows where a light snow has started falling. Warden Simmonds explains that she is taking him to the Vizierate office complex where they will meet the Vizier in Charge of the facility, who, she says, is also the Vizierate representative on the Governing Council of Pristine.
Oliver would have known to say warden I assume~
He keeps his eyes forward but they narrow after hearing that. “Sounds like an awfully important individual to be so concerned about a foreign Vizier’s alpcow incident.”
