9-101: Pristine Vizierate Offices Compound
I wonder, did he peer into his bag despite his eidetic memory telling him for certain there weren’t any in there?
The sweet coffee will tide him over for the time being.
When he meets Dicard outside the courtyard lights are still on and lighting the team’s visible breath. However, the horizon is lit with real light now and a natural grey/blue colour is filtering in.
Halcyon and Fromm have arrived and meet up as well.
Dicard asks them to organise a suitable ground vehicle with the Vizierate vehicle pool and gives them a project code to use for the budget.
“We three will head over to the Wardenate.”
He has apparently figured out where it is and nods to a set of buildings near the main gate.
Dicard hops into the passenger seat of the sole electric cart that is parked here.
Alan jumps in the driver’s seat. Everyone else presumably climbs aboard. Alan stops the cart at the main building and he and Fromm go inside.
There a momentarily awkward moment of silence before Chris jumps behind the controls and guides the cart over to the Wardenate buildings (unless Oliver wants to go first?)
The Wardenate buildings are substantially larger than many and double storey.
A Warden greets them, initially ignoring Oliver and Chris, “Vizier. What do you need?”
Dicard responds, “I would like to see the local Commander, or the Duty Warden if the Commander is unavailable.”
The Warden says, Tag through, Vizier, and a buzz indicates a security door unlocking.
Anything from Oliver?
I’d like to think so, hunger can cloud ones perfect memory with hope.
I’d also like to think Oliver’s never been behind the wheel of a vehicle unless it was a mandatory part of his studies, and that if it ever comes up he’ll just be running off his mechanical intuition and conclusions of watching others drive.
Oliver waits patiently while the important purple people do their jobs.
