8-559: Hopper, returning to Spanial
That will do, she manages to get the Hopper off safely, set a course and cross the empty return gap to Spanial.
As she heads the Hopper back, it just so happens that the star Foofoor drops behind the shadow of the lightning-suffused planet and she is treated to an orbital sunset as the wreck and the Hopper are plunged in to darkness, with only the starlight to see.
Shortly after that, the bright spot that is Spanial disappears too as the star’s light stops reflecting off it’s hull and the Hopper continues toward its dark shape.
Does Lia wish to do or say anything on the way back?
I assume she’ll aim to put the Hopper in the Hangar rather than the Hold? It’s a far easier maneuver, especially with all the extra mass she’s carrying.
She is too focused on flying and concern for Karmen to fully appreciate the visual display. Also not really up for conversation; she’d prefer to leave that until they’re safely back on the Spanial and flying away.
She will aim for the Hangar, contacting Ipan as she approaches.
“Spanial, this is Hopper. Approaching Hangar – safe to dock?”
