8-312: Hopper – Foofor 2 Orbit, near the Shipwreck

As she approaches she can see what looked to be cylindrical sections are actually octagonal in cross-section, with a central spar square in cross-section.
From this angle, the wreck is silhouetted by the stars, and the planet is off to Lia’s left.
The spar is torn off, and no other large sections in sight.  According to Jennie, that is where the engineering sections would have been.
There is also damage to the forward end of one of the cylinder sections, with a gaping hole in one end.
The wreck is spinning about a point about two-thirds along the spar, and also looks to be spinning slowly around the spar-axis.  Fortunately the third vector, end-over-end, is almost zero.
Questions, or would Lia like to gently approach?  If/when she approaches, where is she heading for?

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

She continues approaching slowly. She’ll head for the jagged edge of the broken section, or as close as she can get to that.

Does the Hopper have anything that can record the visual from the nose?
