The usual routine with customs is to assemble at the airlock and the Legion Customs Officials come aboard, check the ship and crew’s documents (including the cargo manifest) and then usually visually inspect the hold. They occasionally check individual cabins. On rare occasions they will do a thorough search of an entire ship. If necessary, they have the power to order a full hull and machinery inspection, where the ship is dragged off to a yard and gone over by Legion engineers, usually while the crew is put under heavy questioning. However, most checks are perfunctory.
So, Lia has changed and aims to look apt for the situation. As cargo officer she may need to don a vacc suit, or pressurise the hold.
Presently the Customs Officials announce their arrival. Karmen opens the airlock and greets them: A Sub Officer leading two Legionnaires, all wearing the lightweight seal-able combat suits common to Customs Officers.
She presents the ship’s papers for inspection. The Sub Officer starts examining them while one of the Legionnaires stands by the door and the other starts moving down the line of crew checking ID Tags.
I have rolled a reaction roll for the customs officials, what approach is Lia going to take with them so I can determine appropriate modifiers? Also, give me a social roll in case we need it.
Ack! Rolled a 15 on the social roll. Acting and Diplomacy are both on 13, Fast-Talk is on 15 – which skill do you think is most appropriate?
Let’s say she’s pressurised the hold since being in a suit would rather defeat her outfit. 😉
Can I get some information on the Sub Officer and the Legionnaires? Male/Female, age, etc. What kind of sense does she get from her Empathy?
She wants to see if there are any possible targets for her Sex Appeal because that will inform her strategy…
