“Ah.  Yes.  Uddin…

“No, it’s more that the Vizier’s Marketplace runs efficiently but there’s no clear single source of contractors.”

He focusses more when Oliver talks business.

“Yes.  Look, it’s easiest if I just give you access to the request portal.  That queries the Vizierate tracking system in the first instance and then puts a request through to the Legion if it can’t find anything.  Just be aware that all your requests are themselves tracked and can trigger alerts if they’re seen as inappropriate.”

There’s a pause and Dicard says, “you should have the authorisation link now.”

Indeed, Oliver has a new message.

Dicard asks, “Is there anything else?”

When Oliver checks the message from Dicard he will find it has a link to a VizNet Page Portal where he can enter details of Lyanna David and request a search.

One of the useful things about the Dominion’s system of names in this context, is that when Oliver enters ‘Lyanna David’ it returns only a single, living person (he can extend his search to show deceased people by that name if he wants.)

The response comes back fairly quickly, and informs him that Lyanna David (H-193888-ZZ-SMT-03-003-T) was last logged arriving at Saman, an outpost in the outer parts of the Four-Three system.  A history of customs contacts indicates she travelled there from Zargonia some time ago, departing on 204.062 on a Vizierate courier and travelling to Four-Three on it before transferring to a private in-system transport.  There’s zero use of PubNet.  Lyanna David is listed as a Vizierate Contractor and her VizNet message history is not available to Oliver at this time.

  1. Oliver Starr says:

    “I see. Sounds reasonable.”

“No, I think that’s all. I can keep doing this as required?”

Oliver frowns in frustration and mumbles “But was she involved…?”
