7-257: MaPaCoA, Vizier Kahn-Serf’s Office
PER
Also, because of your good roll: Oliver noted that the Planning Bureau Undercrat noticed Fromm’s reaction, but he doesn’t think the others did.
Lozenge-Sok File
The file looks to be a HR document, which he is able to skim in its entirety during the meeting.
It has a copy of Abbas Lozenge-Sok’s CV, which is consistent with what Oliver has read in Argyle’s exercise books.
- He graduated from Advanced Higher Education at Bright here on Zargonia in 201 having studied mathematics, electronic engineering, cryptography and computing
- He worked briefly as a comms installation tech
- He was employed by the Planning Bureau as a Technical Grade 07 where he put his mathematics ability to use working on forecasting models for comms traffic
- Having shown quite an aptitude for some networking issues, he was seconded to MaPaCoA on 202.451
His MaPaCoA record contains the following useful information:
- While at MaPaCoA he reported directly to Minor Vizier Sardo Ohare (who Oliver infers is Kahn-Serf’s predecessor) on a Tier 4 Project to ‘review and monitor MaPaCoA partition security including interoperability with user partition security interfaces
- There’s some sketchy comments about the job but a lot of technical stuff seems to be missing
- His performance reviews at MaPaCoA are excellent and note his insightfullness, skill and initiative in problem solving
- On 202.700, his secondment at MaPaCoA was concluded and he moved as a secondee to The Black Palace, where the file ends.
- There is a section right before his departure that is heavily redacted, Oliver infers from the context that some particular technical issue is why he moved over.
Give me a roll on…let’s call it Electronics Repair (Security) of his many applicable skills, with a bonus for his good speed read roll to see if he can glean any additional technical info.
Teleconference
Kahn-Serf says drily, “that seems to be an overly optimistic summary.”
The Legionnaire says, “Do you know where he is now?”
Noted. Oliver plans to talk to Fromm later.
8 v Elec Repair + Bonuses. (Waiting for the impending barrage of 17’s and 18’s now…)
“He was last seen on Pristine, under the name Willard Argyle. Though if he has one alias it’s not impossible to believe he has more. Pristine Wardens were requested to instantiate a planet-lock and arrest-on-sight on the Argyle alias. We can’t be certain if that’s been successful.”
At this point Oliver believes that this information could be found by anyone who had the incentive to look for it. Also, because his superiors don’t know about the Abbas information, there’s no classification on the information to breach.
