Widgets have a universal adapter and will plug into most devices. In a culture that doesn’t use WiFi, they’re incredibly common for transferring data between disconnected systems. Generally it’s either that or a cable between the devices (which plugs into the same port as the Widget.)

“Well he’s continuing some of his work, unsure if he’s just doing it as a hobby or if he has a plan or a buyer. He seems primarily focussed on accessing, analyzing and decrypting data, ironically enough. He’s also been dabbling in counter-security tech, meaning trying to get into places he shouldn’t. However, he was last seen far removed from civilization. It’s possible he just wants to build because he enjoys it and has no intention of utilizing his creations.”
