7-182: Travelling to Snow Lake
A taxi can be ordered through the Vizant in the foyer.
It arrives and takes them to the Central Transit Station where they purchase tickets for the equatorial train and are lucky enough that it leaves in less than a Task, in fact they have to hurry slightly to get to the departure platform in time. This service apparently runs through Purpleton and they will have to wait on the platform for the train to arrive then board.
The train similar to a series of large Travel Pods connected together except rather than running on tracks, as most travel pods do, it’s a MagLev vehicle that hovers just above the track without touching it, making it capable of very high speeds.
There are four classes of travel available to Oliver as an F-class Vizierate contractor: Economy (ʄ50×3 (ie ʄ50 per person)), Standard (ʄ100×3), Serviced (ʄ200×3) and Sleeper (ʄ500×3).
What will Oliver choose?
It turns out that Snow Lake is a little over 8,000 km from Purpleton.
How long will it take to travel? Oliver would personally choose a miserly economy but will defer to Chris and Fromm but if the journey is long he may be inclined to carry ordinance on a higher-quality carriage.
