7-163: Purpleton Central Transit station
No, I’m going to say this is Oliver’s first time on Zargonia.
Worth noting, about 25% of the Dominion’s population lives on Zargonia itself. Zargonia has a human-habitable biosphere, you can live here without life support equipment. Because of its habitability and as the seat of government it’s one of the central generators of economic activity, production and resources for the whole Dominion.
Chris demonstrates it’s environmental friendliness by opening one of the travel pod’s windows and a blast of cold air rushes into the cabin.
Despite the slight discomfort at the temperature drop, no-one complains.
If you like, Oliver can do some research into message times between systems.
His other ponderings are more of a question for you and Oliver – unless there are specific things you’d like to ask?
The Travel Pod takes two tasks before it arrives on the outskirts of Purpleton, where it zips along on an elevated track above the streets, walkways and buildings before arriving at Purpleton Central Transit station.
The group disembarks again, this time into a large area under a transparent, domed roof, supported by a latticework of girders with a hole cut in the centre. The sides of the building also seem to be open to the elements.
Several large Travel Pod lines seem meet here, and there is a Public Aerostat station where a commuter Aerostat seems to be coming in to land through the hole in the roof. A smaller one, looks like an air-taxi, is just taking off.
The time is just coming into Blue shift and it looks like they have caught the shift-change peak – it’s quite busy, with people moving everywhere.
Nanny says, “Taxis, I think dears.”
She leads the way through the crowds, obviously somewhat familiar with the place, she and Dicard’s purple clothing helping to part the throng, although they are not the only Viziers that Oliver sees.
On arriving at what appears to be a Taxi rank, she walks to the head of the line, and stands in a roped-off section painted with red diagonal stripes on the ground. There is a brief wait while two uniformed Legion Leader ranks are boarded into a vehicle. Then an electric four-wheeled car with room for four passengers pulls up.
Nanny says, “half come with me, half go with Vizier Richard,” and she boards the vehicle.
Will Oliver go with Nanny, or wait?
Cool, works for me.
He will do that research if he gets time.
It’s something I can ponder with elements, was just giving some insight into what’s going on in his head.
“Seems the planet is indeed proud of its atmosphere.” He will casually say at some point.
Oliver will go with Nanny.
