7-130: Illuminator – Oliver’s Office

Coffee

Dicard glares a little as Oliver talks about Nanny, and it’s a little difficult to read whether his reaction to this criticism is positive or negative.  He softens a little bit at the suggestion he deserves better.

However he responds, “there’s nothing wrong with ambition, it is a motivating force to satisfy basic human needs.  A desire for comfort, status, reward.  Lowering one’s distress at living by expanding the scope of one’s control.”

Task Bar

When Oliver talks of his motivations Dicard says, “Good, interest in the work is the best motivator there is,” Dicard slightly awkwardly returns Oliver’s earlier touch on his shoulder – not a very touchy guy he seems to be experimenting with the idea of having a natural human reaction, and he withdraws his hand quickly.

He continues, “I think we have a good team here.  A good mix of skills and well-suited to a variety of tasks and situations.  i think we can do good things together.”

Space Sick

“Much.  No Zero Gravity areas here.  I hope we don’t get another Snark at Zargonia, but I think we probably will.”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

    Coffee:
“,,, Do you see yourself sitting in Frederick’s position in your future?”

    Task Bar:
Oliver accepts the touch. “Indeed. I think that’s specifically why we were all chosen. We could do well if the team dynamic grows.”

    Space Sick:
“Good to hear. You never know, maybe we’ll get an upgrade.”
