“Hmmm….that sounds useful,” she murmurs, then continues in a firmer, more passionate, voice, “Oh yes… I’m a Biochemist and Xenologist with an interest in applying pattern and data analysis techniques to better understanding alien life.”
Her eyes flash, “We’re not alone out here,” she gestures at the walls, clearly indicating beyond the Illuminator’s hull, “we’d better understand who and what we are dealing with as well as we can. Don’t you think?”
Oliver will look at the wall as though it were a window to the stars beyond it and nod. “I believe understanding is the key to the Dominion’s development, what’s outside it is almost certain to be good learning material.”
He’ll take a moment, still looking around at the wall then turning back to Mallory, “You have quite the resume, your goal seems to be truly beneficial and, I imagine inspiring, to those who are in the field.”
