“They are a bunch of assholes to be working for,” Fromm’s tone doesn’t sound angry, simply matter-of-fact, “I don’t appreciate being threatened and blackmailed.”
He observes Oliver, “You look surprised. Frederick knows I think he’s nothing but glorified human waste in a purple suit and I wouldn’t be helping him unless he had something over me. I see no reason to conceal it. Had he asked, I would have done my duty to protect the Dominion, but he didn’t ask, he just threatened and bullied.”
Argyle’s Notes
Oliver is up to book #DN 219, it’s kCy 201 in the 400’s. Argyle is in Advanced Higher Education and spending a lot of time talking about his studies and his girlfriend.
Fromm shrugs, “It sounds like there isn’t enough information for a diagnosis on the contact.”
“Hmm. Being held here against our will isn’t necessarily the most engaging workplace.”
“I’ll be polite enough to not ask what they’re blackmailing you over, but do the Legion know about this? Would they care?”
“No, if anything pops up it’ll probably come up later. There’s a lot to sift through.”
Oliver is happy to pick up Victor’s tab for the duration of their conversation, should he wish to get more beverages.
