He nods, thoughtful, “Small cargo and a passenger.  The shuttle doesn’t hold much.  Which one of the two is valuable, I wonder?”

He continues, “We’ll just let Jennie sleep?”

    She shrugs.

    “Hard to tell at this point. Passenger could be a valuable girl. Could be Zayaire himself, though I doubt he’d risk that without reason. Cargo could be an extra bribe for whoever is organizing what we’re picking up. And I doubt we’re actually picking up anything agricultural.”

    Slight pause.

    “Or the passenger could be payment for that.”

    She gives him a rather bleak look.

    “Up to you about waking Jennie. Not sure it’ll gain anything. You know her better than I do. I told Karmen I had info on Zayaire and her current deal but she warned me that unless the information was safe for an unsecured channel, it had better wait until I see her.”
