Aston seems surprised at the feeling expressed in the kiss, but then he recovers and seems to take great delight in Lia’s/Winta’s pleasure.
Playfully he says, “No, it’s a rock, but I think you might be able to make it beautiful.”
Under his playful banter he holds her gaze a moment, perhaps getting a sense that he is seeing a brief glimpse of the person underneath. Then, almost embarrassed he turns and summons a drinks waiter.
What will Winta do?
She will realise that she has allowed herself to slip and reel Lia back in, as it were.
The next time Aston looks, she will be nonchalantly sipping her champagne, completely unruffled.
