She observes the knot of people around the guest of honour part for the woman as if she is scissors cutting through paper, then Aston re-appears at her side and answers that question.

“Assistant Secretary Phyllis Crough-Wittle.  Namaisa is in charge of the Bureaucracy here on Mundo Zargo and her portfolio is…everything else that isn’t Legion, Vizierate or Bureaucracy.  It sounds like that might not actually be anything, but no-one messes with her.”

They watch for a moment as she speaks to Namaisa for a few moments, and Lia notes they both seem quite relaxed at the interchange.  Then Crough-Wittle turns and heads straight for the door.

Aston observes wryly, “and that seems to be that.”
