As Winta speaks, Adler watches her intently, and her expression gradually changes from her desolate look to a neutral mask, with a couple of nods on the way.
When Winta is finished, she lets the silence hang for some time before speaking.
“Do you always hang out at parties giving pep talks to random strangers?”
That gets half a genuine smile and a bit of a twinkle in the eye.
