6-193: Administration Bureau Executive Conference Facility

Waste is relative.

Aston says conspiratorially, and a little dismissively, “well, being in the Trade Bureau, one gets to make all sorts of interesting contacts; it’s a lovely little piece isn’t it?”

Aston’s tone is downplaying its value, but Lia estimates that piece is between ʄ30,000 and ʄ50,000 if it’s genuine, and she thinks it is.  Its value comes from the tiny creature – insects trapped in amber are rare in the grand scheme of amber pieces, but common enough to be used as jewellery on occasion.  A small animal would usually be in a laboratory or a museum somewhere.

Assistant Secretary Namaisia catches Lia’s eye in her unguarded moment and there is a moment of evaluation there, couple with an interested sparkle in the usually restrained man’s face.

He says, “It is refreshing to meet someone who appreciates such a unique thing.”

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“I’ve never seen anything quite so beautiful.”

    She is quite genuine.

    “And I work with jewellery…”

She gives him a small smile.
