I think a business account with the Dominion Bank would be possible and appropriate, and clients can just pay into it before the evening.  The account works everywhere, but account balances can sometimes take a while to synch up between systems, and it’s possible for Lia to outrun her money if she travels quickly enough after a deposit has been made.  Withdrawing funds into one’s money card is how a traveller ensures they will have cash on them, but this is a higher risk of loss.  

Note that the Dominion Bank pretty much refuses to extend credit to anyone for any reason.  The concept of a credit card, bank overdraft, line-of-credit account etc. doesn’t really exist in the Dominion.  So if her bank balance is zero, it’s zero. 

Alternately a money card transfer on the night is possible but potentially awkward, and needs a card transfer machine (ie ATM, or Public Net console), which is not a portable thing (some businesses allow money-card-to-money-card transfers, with or without a purchase).

If you’re happy with the above we can assume Lia checked her account on the way to the meeting, and found it topped up with an additional ʄ3,000 – Aston has engaged her services until Red Shift change (it’s now BG02).  That rate suggests he’s not after a happy ending (or hasn’t decided yet), which I’ll say is consistent with her previous experience of him.

He tossed his head, rolls his eyes and ‘tsks’ in faux annoyed appreciation.

“However, I do like the idea…to my beauty!”, he flicks his hair expressively and clinks glasses again.

So, you created Aston as a client.  Do you imagine his appearance in any particular way, beyond what your notes describe?  I currently have two Astons in my mind, and I’ll pick one shortly, but if you have any thoughts about him we might just create a hybrid…
