Karmen nods and says, “Don’t be so hard on yourself, I know you’ve only ever flown shuttles.
“I think this is the first time I have ever seen you nervous Lia. Usually, you’re very confident and easygoing. Why is that, do you think?”
She relaxes a little at the first comment but the second one catches her off guard.
“Oh! I guess…”
She seems at a loss for a second before huffing a small sigh and giving Karmen a tiny self-deprecating smile.
“I guess I didn’t want to screw it up. It’s the first time I’ve ever had the chance to play with a ship this size.”
She looks a smidge excited.
“Besides, I’m new here and it would have been awesome to really nail that maneuver and impress the Captain.”
She’s sincere but also using her Charisma to be a bit charming.
