6-056: Merchant Freighter Spanial – Control Room

It’s bordering on double-jeopardy to get you to roll twice for the roll, so I figured as long as you didn’t critically fail, Lia successfully performs the maneuver.

Out of the viewport in front of her Lia can see the distant stars appear to slowly spin around the ship.  During the roll the Mundo Zargo system’s primary star, Vorge, comes onto view, and at the end of the roll the Yellow Main Sequence star is sitting dead centre in Lia’s viewport.

Karmen studies her instruments and says, “I read our roll-orientation as having altered by +77° and our course remains steady,” she smiles, “well done Lia.   Now, put her back into stand-by monitoring mode and sound the all-clear.”

I’m going to say you don’t have to roll to carry out that next instruction, but you can if you wish.  It’s a chance for Lia to impress Karmen if it goes well, or a chance to screw up in front of her if it doesn’t.  Otherwise it just happens and has no effect on her opinion.

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

sigh I could cheat and say I didn’t roll but I did. I rolled a 15, so she fucks it up.

She swears in a colourful fashion, then sighs and looks apologetically at Karmen.

    “I’m sorry, I guess Piloting isn’t really my strength…”

She’s awkward, which looks unnatural on her.
