6-032: Merchant Freighter Spanial – Shuttle Hio

Lia can easily put the environmental systems into diagnostic mode.  It immediately tells her about the missing module.

In response to her question he says, “It will be interesting to see if it does register a fault while the module is not attached.  That would suggest to me the fault could be in the monitoring circuit rather than the system itself.  Otherwise, we will see what it says after I have had a look at the module and plug it back in.”

He eyes the access panel, “It could be in a related system too.  While I am testing the module, would you mind pulling the diagnostic error logs yourself?  You might be able to spot a pattern in the faults.”

Assuming Lia is willing to do that, pulling the logs is trivial and you can give me an IQ-based piloting roll to see if she can spot a pattern to the faults; Attentive bonus applies.

You can also give me a social roll (probably Diplomacy or Acting) to see how Gregar responds to her interest.

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

Rolled really well for Diplomacy; 8 for a 13 (plus any reaction bonuses you want to add) but horribly badly for Piloting. Her IQ is 13, +1 for Attentive but I rolled a 16. I personally blame my wasting of a perfectly good 7 roll when I was playing with my new dice yesterday. I assume that’s what you meant by an IQ based Piloting roll? Her skill stat is DX-1.

I’m guessing that means she gets utterly absorbed in trying to find a pattern in the faults, whilst utterly failing to do anything of the sort.

Whoever attempts to attract her attention next will probably struggle if she’s still focused on the task.
