6-011: Merchant Freighter Spanial – Common Room

Jennie assists with the weight trainer – which involves bolting it down to the floor.  It’s basically a box with handle bars on the end of a couple cables that provide resistance and a pulley that can be raised and lowered to alter the angle.  For example, Lia can raise the pulley to chest height and keep the handles separate to do curls, or lower it down and join the bars together to do lifts like she might with free weights or raise the pulley over her head and pull down like chin-ups or resistance flys.  A tension knob mimics different weights.

She says, “I know what you mean.  I cannot sit still for too long.  I have to move every Cycle, at least every second Cycle or I get edgy.”

She gestures to the entertainment system, “Would you like to pick some music for us?  Something to get the blood pumping?”
