5-193: GRRAS Docking Bay

Reporting to Felicity

OK, I’m going to say he goes out for dinner early in Blue Shift to send his message.

Can I assume he will check his PDA again before he goes to the Illuminator next cycle?

If so he will receive the following message:  Report your location and activities via PDA whenever you can.  Good luck and stay safe.

The Glasses

So no direct controls on the glasses themselves?  No on-off via opening or closing the shafts on the glasses?   No gesture or symbol recognition via the video camera?  They just run once booted from the PDA?

Can I assume this means wired link only?

Boarding the Illuminator

I’m guessing Oliver grabs all his gear from the apartment (including meal pack staples?) and crams it into his backpack.

Some time after the meeting a message arrives on his apartment’s terminal from Melody, advising details of where to locate the Illuminator and what to do when leaving the apartment.

As stated he arrives at the earliest possible time (211.352 GB01) to board the Illuminator.

Whereas on arrival Snark 416 seemed dwarfed by the large space of GRRAS’ docking bay, the Illuminator stands out (It’s obvious which ship it is because of the name written on the side that Oliver can read through the view panels overhead.)

The Illuminator is about 300m long and shaped like a stubby, flat-nosed bullet.  From Oliver’s viewing angle he can see the FTL drive panels around the middle, and a protruding collar just aft of them that looks like part of an advanced sensor array.

At the foot of the stairs to the main docking tube a pair of armed Vizierate wardens are guarding both the entrance and a pair of uniformed Vizants, who seem to be processing a short queue of people that have collected and have only started being let aboard as Oliver approaches.  None of his comrades appear to be in the queue or around.

Opposite the docking stairs on the Dock Concourse about 30m away is the apparently obligatory squad of Legion Customs Officials observing from a security station.

Further along the dock, cargo and equipment is being loaded via forklifts, elevators and some guy in an exoskeleton cargo loader.

Give me a Perception roll.  Any questions?

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Yeah he will. Good to know.

Oh, yeah, you’ve thought of this way more than I have. I was hoping for some sort of wirelessness to them. Infrared might work but maybe the radio would be better. I’ll get back to you with a full document.

    9 on Perception.

Oliver will provide any ID he has to to get on board and try and found out where his room is, along with all the data he’s meant to be researching if those are in two different places.
