5-115: Legion Cast – Interview and Evaluation Room
She looks carefully at Oliver the says, “Oliver, what I am about to tell you is classified information. I am authorised to pass this on once I have evaluated your aptitude for Legion service. As such you will be bound by the classified information provisions in the Codex once I reveal it. Do you understand and agree? Formally, for the record please.”
Oliver knows that the classified information provisions in the Codex are the equivalent of contemporary things like the Official Secrets Act.
I’m going to assume Oliver says yes, because Curiosity. If he says no, he won’t know the following information and the conversation will play out differently.
After and assuming he agrees, she makes a note on her terminal.
Then she continues, “There are many details I don’t know myself, but in a nutshell, Commissar Usher has reason to believe that there is a security threat to the Dominion connected with the Vizierate in some way, and it involves this facility and Minor Vizier Salfield.
“Commissar Usher wants you to help us find out what is going on, so to that end, if you elect to join us, I’ll be asking you to resume your role as Vizierate contractor and keep your eyes and ears open.”
Oliver will agree.
“Hmm, interesting. I was already assigned to Salfield, conveniently enough. I am willing to comply and do what I can, it is a matter of security after all. Though I may have some issue getting close enough to gather information. Once we go over this I have some other questions.”
Oliver plays with his fingers and stares at them while he talks.
