5-050: Travelling to the Cast
Oliver has time to finish his coffee before trailing Felicity to the elevator. Once there he takes the elevator up to the Docking Bay level where he can walk.
The asteroid in which GRRAS is built is essentially a cylinder. Certainly one end is quite blunt and the surface is fairly even. In the middle of that front end is a hole that forms the docking bay, and the asteroid has been put into a slow spin to mimic gravity. At level 100, the centripetal force from the spin equals 1G. Up in the docking bay, the weaker gravity is assisted with grav plates.
I’m going to assume that Oliver has worked out that the Elevator bank numbers refer to degrees of arc around the cylinder. From Bank 000 and its large concourse where he started he can travel around the docking bay ring to Bank 270.
The entrance to Bank 270 is much more modest than the cavernous space that leads to Bank 000. There is a significant Legion presence here and a blocky security station. By the signage, this is the location of the Legion Cast.
He is asked to show his ID tag, and as long as he has left his electrolaser pistol in his apartment he’ll have no trouble getting through. (If he has it on him, let me know; he may be delayed, and make new friends…)
Felicity is waiting on the other side of the security station, but not readily visible from the far side. She calls a small elevator and they ride back down to Level 100.
There is another security station here and they both need to show their tags to a scanner to get past.
There is nothing in this lobby but a travel pod station, although one wall is decorated with Legion regalia.
Oliver and Felicity board an empty car and she punches in a destination.
Felicity won’t initiate much conversation other than travel related things like, “this way,” and, “through here.” Does Oliver wish to say anything?
For simplicity I’ll say he left it at the apartment. And no, if she doesnt talk, he won’t either. He’ll follow along quietly.
