5-047: Lobby Café

She raises a quizzical eyebrow.  It’s an expression for which her face seems purpose-built.

“Indeed? Well, we can come back to that later if we need to, Oliver.

“You see, in my role as a Personnel Specialist I have to make sure that the people we recruit are suitable for, and loyal to, the Legion.  My concern is, you seem a little too much like you could be a committed Vizierate agent.”

She sips casually at her coffee, but Oliver can tell her attention is focused intensely on him.”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Oliver will sip, again at the same time as her, then let out a sigh and put his coffee down.

“The vizierate cleared my name but I have nothing holding me to them. They did that so they could hire me. I’m here because it was extrication or persecution. They gave me the impression that, whatever the truth was, I’d end up in a cell.”

He looks at his coffee, then back to her.

“I don’t like being toyed with and I don’t like being controlled by threats. I gave all the information that I had to Usher and he seemed confident I could be beneficial to you. His offer seemed much more… inviting.”

He’ll take a casual look around at the people around him. “If you can assure me you aren’t recording this I may have more information for you and you alone to use as personal judgement.”

My next 3 rolls are 12 11 and 12, in that order, if needed.
