5-022: Lowell Recreational Area
The food is adequate; he liked the dish from Khun’s better, but it seems sufficiently nutritious. The price is the same – ʄ12.
There is a place that sells meal packs here, along with drinks and recreational equipment.
Meal packs are ʄ2 each, come in a wide variety of flavours and are self-heating/cooling (hence their popularity here at the rec area.) Each on weighs half a kilo (1lb in GURPS units.)
The store owner tries to convince Oliver to buy a flying disc.
He will take 5 to round it off to ʄ10. That’ll last him 2 days if he eats nothing else. He might grab a couple bottles of water as well, unless it is freely available from fountains around the station.
Oliver will reject, saying “Sorry, I’ve been told I don’t like to have fun.” He will then pay for his supplies and take his leave.
Oliver realises he didn’t ask anyone where they were staying. With nothing else much to do, he now has plenty of free time to work on his glasses. He will probably head back and be a nerdy loner until another need to leave arises.
