5-007: Vizier Frederick’s Offices
The rest of the group falls into an uneasy silence as a result of Oliver’s comment. You can give me a roll on a social skill, if you would.
Unless Oliver wants to say or do anything more, after a while Melody will return and ask everyone to step into the conference room adjacent to Vizier Frederick’s office. She says to bring the trolley and Chris complies.
The conference room is decorated in muted blues and greys, although it is spartan with no unecessary nicities. It is long and rectangular, matching the shape of the 12-seat conference table that is its main feature. The door is at the foot of the table, slightly to one side. A second door is off to the right near the head of the table, presumably direct access to Freederick’s office. Each seat at the table has its own small viewing console. In a corner near the door is a small table with cups and a water cooler.
Vizier Frederick (F) is seated at the head of the table facing the door. Dicard (D) is on the chair immediately to his right. Melody’s (M) e-clipboard is on the table about half way down on Frederick’s left. She leads everyone to the room and enters last, moving to her seat.
Frederick says nothing initially and examines people with his cold green eyes as they enter the room.
Where is Oliver going to position himself as the group enters and where is he going to sit?

Roll 9 v 12 on Diplomacy
No more to be said.
Oliver will take no time to pause, and enter casually without any rush or hesitation. He will occupy seat 2.
This keeps him close to Dicard and Frederick while maintaining his separation from the former. He doesn’t want to be too closely associated with Dicard but wants to remain an important player at the table.
