4-032: Aboard Snark 416 – Airlock

Dicard is indeed there, and he says, “That’s correct, I’m afraid we’re not at liberty to discuss our mission.”

The Commissar nods, “Of course.”

He continues to study the crew in silence as the Junior Customs Officer finishes inspecting the documents.

Oliver can say something else if he wishes, otherwise there is a brief interaction when the JCO reaches Erin.

The JCO says, “I see your Engineer’s Licence was cancelled a kilocyle ago.”

She says steadily, “My license is current and valid.”

He looks down at the documents and his data pad again, “of course.”

When the JCO is finished the Senior Officer says to Alan, “you can show the Under Sub Officer to the cargo bay and the Vizier can accompany me while I inspect the rest of the ship.”

Alan nods, then looks at Dicard, who also nods.  Alan says to the JCO, “Ready?  It’s a bit of a hike.”

Then he presses the button on the inner airlock door, which opens to reveal the empty cargo bay.

The Senior Customs Officer looks mildly irritated, “well, you can take him forward to the Bridge then.”

Halcyon grunts and leads the JCO off to the bridge, one of the armed troops trailing after them.  The second trooper remains by the airlock exit, the third – carrying the shotgun – will follow the SO and the Commissar through the ship.

The Senior Officer says to the crew, “Go and wait by your cabin doors, I will be along shortly.  Vizier, lead the way forward.”

Dicard complies and moves to the central ladder well.

I would say nothing else. Make a mental note of Erin’s supposed licence expiry and head back to my cabin.
