4-011: Aboard Snark 416 – Oliver’s Cabin

At Complexity 6, Oliver’s laptop will be a much better tool than his PDA (Complexity 5) for this work; there’s not really any advantage to putting both to the task.

I assume he’ll set up the laptop in a corner of his cabin plugged into the storage module and wait for a result.

The exercise book has “G 211086” scrawled on the cover.  Inside are some notes about a range of things:
  • An extensive shopping list
  • What looks like some transaction notes for buying and selling things
  • A couple of recipes
  • One page dedicated to what seems to be a movie review
  • Various to-do lists

As a speed reader familiar with a lot of the subject matter, I’ll say it will take him a Task to go through the exercise book carefully and thoroughly.

It’s GB03; he’s due on the Control Deck in 7 Tasks.

FYI, Oliver knows from the trip out that he doesn’t actually have to do much while he’s on watch.  He’s basically to call Alan and/or Erin if anything looks out of the ordinary or goes wrong.  He will have time to pursue his studies while on watch and he only has to sit watches while in normal space, not in hyper space.

Given he’ll be waiting on the computer for a while, I’m guessing he’ll want to tackle the exercise books.

If that’s correct, is there any particular way he’d like to go about that?

Is there anything else he’d like to do?

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Books is what he plans to do. After the one he grabbed quickly he’ll be going for whatever was in that smaller metal box. Then just from the top down.
