3-226: Back In the Foyer of Argyle’s Lodge XXV

Oliver returns to the Foyer.

Coincidentally Alan has just come up from the Garage.

With the boxes moved to a pile in the centre of the room and the power back on, Chris is lounging in the big chair and has obviously been playing with the monitor here.  His souvenired bottle of alcohol is on the side table and has noticeably decreased in volume.   He complains that the entertainment channels are not functioning and all he can get is boring pictures of the inside of the building and snow.

Dicard meets up with Oliver in the hallway and follows him into the Foyer.

It occurs to Oliver that the system might have been set up specifically to only run the computer through a specific network port, but by default one network port is as good as another.

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Is there a router in this room?.
“I’ve ended what the computer called the ‘Abandon Protocol’. This indicates Argyle has left and likely isn’t coming back. Whether he’s taken what we need is another matter… Unfortunately we don’t know what’s meant to be inside the notebook… Do we?” Oliver will look towards Richard.

“In any case… External defences may be disabled but I’d need to hook that computer back up and probably find a way to get into it to be extra sure.”
